COACHES
KEITH OBERG
HEAD BASEBALL COACH
Keith was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts and graduated from Springfield Central High in 1991. Keith played varsity baseball and played for Team USA Baseball on a team that played in Austria and Germany. The team served as baseball ambassadors running youth camps and clinics daily and then played the Austrian and German professional teams in showcase games in the evenings. He graduated with a B.S. in Corporate Communications from East Carolina University.
Although Keith is embedded in the business world, he also pursues his passion to teach and coach. Keith has been coaching Little League teams for the last 10 years. He has coached teams that have competed, and won, at all levels from Coach Pitch to Majors, including winning (3) annual All-Star events. Over the past 5 years, Keith has served as Commissioner and Director of the Challenge/Tournament baseball program with the Weddington Wesley Chapel Athletic Association. During this time he also coached (2) tournament teams – one that won the 8U Top Gun Baseball Summer 2018 World Series event.
Keith is extremely excited about the opportunity to build the Carolina Red Devils Baseball Program from the ground level, and has very high expectations for his athletes both in the classroom and on the field. He and his wife Kelly have been married for 14 years and have four children, Gavin (12), Owen (9), Alison (7) and Morgan (4).
Ron Oberg
Assistant Coach
Ron was born and raised in Worcester, Mass, graduating from North High School where he lettered in both baseball and basketball. Ron received a baseball scholarship to play baseball for Windham College in Vermont. Post graduation, Ron served (4) years in the United States Air Force teaching pilots to fly as a Flight Simulator Engineer. Ron went back to school and obtained his Master's Degree in Business Administration. Ron continued to play softball competitively and in church leagues and began his journey coaching when his son turned 8.

Ron continued to coach winning teams across multiple age brackets in both recreational and All-Star settings. When both of his kids were off in college, Ron continued to give back to the community and the kids by becoming an umpire. Ron umped for 20 years across all age groups, including high school before retiring and hanging up his baseball shoes in 2017.

Ron now enjoys his time as part of the Red Devil coaching staff, helping to instill player discipline while helping to bring out each player's maximum potential. Ron is committed to helping Red Devil players grown athletically and as young men.

Ron and his wife Donna live in Fort Mill, SC. They have (2) kids and (7) grand kids split between NC and MA.
